1966 Boonie Hat Moleskin mustard
No headgear polarizes like the good old boonie hat. You either love it or... not! Despite all personal preferences, the classic “bucket hat” looks back on a tradition that goes back over a hundred years.
The first headgear of this type came onto the market over 100 years ago. Designed to protect the wearer from the sun, wind and rain, they soon became standard equipment for outdoor and work wear. From the 1940s onwards, bucket hats were part of the jungle equipment of all armies around the world. From the 1960s onwards, boonie hats became a distinguishing feature of the G.I.s in South East Asia and later of the peace movement.
Our boonie hat has the classic shape as it was worn in the 1960s. In other words, with a medium brim and a slightly flatter shape.
