From Beo Gam to Tiger Stripe

From Beo Gam to Tiger Stripe.

During the 1960s, the U.S. Army developed new camouflage uniforms specifically designed for combat in dense jungle environments.

One of the most famous patterns was the “Tiger Stripe” camouflage, whose irregular stripes provided better concealment in tropical terrain by mimicking the camouflage patterns of animals

Another successful but lesser-known pattern was the Beo Gam, which was also derived from leopard patterns and slightly modified. The U.S. Army was also experimenting with other patterns like the Mitchell or Leaf Pattern, as it was called.

In this case, natural foliage was replicated in both a summer and a fall version.

We are offering a small selection of vintage camouflage styles for your everyday wardrobe.
