Our 1908 Miner Jacket waxed oliv made of densely woven cotton fabric with a wax coating is a typical workwear jacket of the early 1920s century. The fit in combination with the sturdy material makes it a piece of garment which looks smart but offers a lot of resistant to daily work demands.
All in all, a really strong piece of clothing that completely redefines the term “stiff”.
The fast growing gold rush in the West of the USA has led many work wear manufacturers to specialize on the production of mining wear. Especially jackets were worn in the mines since they protected the upper body in the narrow work place. Our 1908 Miner Jacket features typical details found on jacketsaround the turn of the last century like pleated front, open pockets and a cinch back.
For our miner series we have used a heavily waxed cotton fabric.
