The trousers Pattern 1952 or Pattern 52 as we call them are British Military trousers from the 1950s. The are characterized by their wide fit and high rise. This is because they were meant to be worn over the woolen uniform. But only seldomly this was the case. The pattern 52 trousers were mostly worn on their own. Further recognizable features were the two pockets on the front of the trousers. A big on on the upper thigh which was meant for maps and a smaller one on the hip for a first aid pouch. Today this pocket is very handy for your mobile phone. We leave it up to your imagination what you store in the big thigh pocket.
Originally the Pattern 52 was made from a olive selvage denim. We have recreated this denim on a vintage shuttle loom. This denim is very nice fro warmer temperatures and the baggy fit gives you more air ventilation for the summer days.
