In the workwear section in was not only popular to mark boxes and items but also workwear with a company logo or the workers name.
Hence, we want to show you today how a denim coverall is stenciled in the correct way.
For correct marking the coverall you need the following:
Logo stencil, regular semi gloss paint and a sponge.
- Logo stencil, regular semi gloss paint and a sponge.
- First you have to make sure that you have a flat and even surface like a big table or box. Place the item on the table and remove all wrinkles and stretch the fabric a little bit. You can also fix it to the base if the fabric is too soft.
- Then you place the stencil on the item and fix it to the fabric. For the perfect paint distribution we recommend to use a piece of cardboard on which you put a little bit of paint. Then take the sponge and dip it into the paint..
- Any excessive paint should be removed by dipping on the cardboard where there is no paint. Then carfully start to go over the stencil.
- Make sure you do not use too much pressure since paint may go under the stencil. Use less paint first until you get a feeling for the paint distribution.
- Go over the complete stencil. Let it dry.
- If the effect is not enough go over it once again.
- Remove the stencil and let it dry for at least an hour.
- The stencil will fade over time when washed.
