1961 BCGs smoke

Cellulose acetate - the selvage denim of eyewear materials. Cellulose acetate or acetate eyewear revolutionized the eyewear market in the 1920s and 1930s.
However, the plastic has natural roots. Acetate is made from cotton and processed through a chemical process to create a durable, lightweight material that is easy to color. Just like 100 years ago, we have the basic material for our eyewear, the acetate plates, manufactured in Italian. These plates are then further processed by hand in Portugal. The shapes we use all have historical roots and are classics in the history of eyewear.
We offer the glasses with and without sun lenses. As lenses for our sunglasses we use only well-known manufacturers such as Zeiss or Sel Optical.

Our 1968 BCGs are a classics of the late 1960s. The BCGs have been introduced by the U.S. Army in the late 1960s and were part of the G.I. equipment until the 1980s.

The following details distinguish our 1968 BCGs:

- 100% Italian cellulose acetate
- Lens width 48mm
- Nose bridge 12mm
- Handmade in Portugal
