1905 Hauler Pant French asphalt
To haul, to pull, to carry, to drag. These are all words that very much indicate the origin of or 1905 Hauler Pant. Work wear pants during that time had to have certain features on the fit as well as on the material. The pants had to give the opportunity for full movement and the fabric had to be hard wearing.
All these features are found in our 1905 Hauler pant. It has a wide leg and a high waist. This in combination with the suspender buttons and a cinch back one has the true workwear fit of the 19th century.
Our "French Asphalt" Fabric is made of 100% cotton and has its origins in French Workwear. French Asphalt was used as a light summer fabric. We have made the fabric to the original recipe. Although coming from the field of workwear it has a very elegant appearance.
